IPM Limited were given the job of providing cost and project management of the job.

• This project is a continuation of the process of replacement of worn out old concrete similar to that found on the North Apron.

• The project required the removal and replacement of approximately 30,000m² of operational apron to the south of the passenger pier and terminal building.

• The works have been phased to allow on-going operational access to the passenger pier, cargo centre and private business aircraft terminal during the construction period.

• Works to the South Apron included the installation of Fixed Electrical Ground Power, additional apron floodlighting and new Visual Docking Guidance System to 12 Stands on the passenger pier.

• The completion of this project was in early July 2008.
